The Return of the Prodigals and Freedom from an Orphan Spirit
Because we have been involved in global spiritual issues for nearly two decades, we are keenly aware of the power when countries unite their hearts and spirits and align with the plans and purposes of God. Freedom From an Orphan Spirit. Freedom to use our gifts to help others.
To that end, the Lord is revealing the importance of the return of the prodigals and how that is an issue shared by many nations. Our Heavenly Father is asking all of us to partner with Him to prepare a way for the Lord and prepare a people for the Lord. To do this, He creates opportunities for transformational moments.
The return of the prodigals is certainly one of those moments and praying for their returns today is one of those opportunities. So thank you for letting me share that moment with you.
Canada has a leaf in its flag, in fact, it is the only country in the world to have a leaf on its flag. We have come to believe that it represents what is referenced in Revelation, “the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations.”
Canada shares that healing anointing today with other nations in the return of the prodigals to bind up that pain and longing of the aching hearts eagerly awaiting their return as we read about in the scriptures.
The Lord has impressed upon me that freedom from an orphan spirit involves the return of the prodigals is being hindered by that same orphan spirit in Canada and many other nations. In Canada, for instance, this spirit is given primary access through our Prime Minister, who is trying to remake our country in an image that replaces the nuclear family with the state. His unprecedented and reckless redistribution of wealth and careless mismanagement of the budget and of dissolution of Christian values has led to an emboldened rebellious spirit, especially in the youth; the Lord pointed out this rebellious spirit is the second pillar to be torn down. This rebellious spirit has led to an unprecedented sense of entitlement that feeds and strengthens that spirit.
In response to all of this, God is calling out for Father hearts throughout our nations to be awakened and called forth. The reawakening of those Father hearts will join with our Heavenly Father’s heart and drive out those orphan spirits and those rebellious spirits and restore the hearts of the sons to the fathers and the hearts of the fathers to the sons. This sets the stage for the preparation of a way and a people for the Lord.
Two scriptures that you will know well were impressed upon me:
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
Psalm2:8 ‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
The first speaks of the unfailing response of our Dad when we engage with His awesome will. The second speaks to the immensity of the scope that God gives us in the authority of our prayers.
The Bible says we will have spiritual oversight of Heavenly realms throughout eternity. We are training to rule and reign with Christ. We know what we bind and loose in Heaven, is bound and loosed on Earth.
So I would ask if we may join our hearts and prayers together to ask four things of our Father: That the orphan spirit would be broken over our two nations; That the spirit of rebellion and spirit of entitlement would be bound up and cast aside in Canada and other nations; That Father hearts would be awakened and called forth such that there would be a reconciliation between fathers and sons and daughters hearts; And…That the Spirit of God would sweep over our leaders or that God would appoint new leaders that will father our prodigal nations so we all may return to our Father.
But first, I think it is important to make several declarations into the Heavenly realm regarding these things. I hope you can join your hearts with me in these transformational statements.
In the name and authority of Jesus, I/we repent on behalf of our respective nations for having partnered in any way with the orphan or rebellious spirit or any spirit that might seek to strengthen those spirits. In Jesus’ name, we renounce any foothold given to the enemy as a result of our participation with those spirits and we utterly break any and all agreements that give the enemy a legal right to interfere with the return of the prodigals. Finally, we bless our nations with the opposite spirits. The spirit of belonging, of family, of unity, cooperation and of gratitude. We declare these in the Heavenly realm to the full extent of our authority and where we don’t have authority we appeal to the Lord Jesus Christ to do it on our behalf in Jesus’ name! Amen and amen!
So…Prepare a way and a people, Break the orphan spirit, Bind and cast out the rebellious spirit and its allies, Awakening of Father hearts, and our leaders fathering our nations. I know I said four prayer points, but there are five major points in our maple leaf so there we are…______
